ST. PAULS, NC – Feb. 2017
The Town of St. Pauls, located in the northern part of Robeson County, is now home to a new $16.5 million Pepsi Bottling Ventures distribution center. The expansion will create 50 new jobs in warehouse, logistics, and inventory management, among others.
The town will provide the local government match to a One North Carolina Fund performance-based grant of up to $150,000, which provides financial assistance through local governments to attract business that create new jobs in the state. The town also received a $400,000 grant from the state to support infrastructure needed for Pepsi Bottlings to expand into the area.
“St. Pauls is an ideal location for our new facility. The location is centralized for our current employees and allows for easy highway access to distribute our products,” said Claire Niver, SVP of Corporate Affairs. “We appreciate the support we have received from the Town of St. Pauls, Robeson County, and the State of North Carolina making it possible for us to expand here.”
