This impressive community has set lofty goals and is reaching them quickly. In 2014, the town adopted an Economic Development Strategy that set the course for business expansion in this fast-growing community of nearly 30,000 people. Fast forward to today and it becomes clear the strategy is working.

Recent success includes the town selecting a developer to create a transformational $40 million downtown mixed-use project, acquiring property to expand and relocate town hall to downtown in 2019, and purchasing 35 acres of industrial zone property to recruit new, advanced manufacturing firms. Additionally, Aviator Brewery Co. and the Bob Barker Company, both headquartered in Fuquay-Varina, are expanding their facilities and adding full-time jobs as a direct result of the town’s aggressive incentive policy.
