Aetna is expanding its operations facility here, a move expected to bring 300 new jobs by the end of 2020. It marks the second expansion at the health care company’s High Point location in the past year. Aetna late last year added 80 full-time equivalent jobs.
Aetna, which is a part of CVS Health, will not receive any local or state economic incentives for the latest expansion, according to Loren Hill, president of the High Point Economic Development Corp. “They chose us because they know us,” Cooper said at Thursday’s announcement at the High Point Municipal Building. “They know what kind of workforce we can give them to thrive.”
