Cooper visits new call center in Rocky Mount

November 21, 2018

The State Employees’ Credit Union is bringing 160 jobs to Rocky Mount with its Member Services Support Center. Gov. Roy Cooper, speaking Tuesday at the call center’s grand opening, said it was great to be home in Nash County. “One hundred and sixty good-paying jobs — that’s good,” Cooper said. The cell center took over an old PNC Bank building on Hunter Hill Road. After taking a tour of the call center, Cooper headed to Wilson to help distribute Thanksgiving turkeys to people impacted by Hurricane Florence. Mayor David Combs said it’s great seeing an empty building being re-used, especially when it means economic expansion in Rocky Mount.
