The White Mill has been an eyesore for years in Danville. It’s the first thing you see when crossing the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge into Main Street, but city leaders hope to make the building a destination in the future. Members of Danville City Council experienced what the White Mill could look like Thursday night during a presentation at a work session meeting. The building could have a future being a tourist destination. At least, that’s what the members of the Danville City Council are hopeful for. “Our citizens can see the concept that we’ve asked the developer and consultants and our economic development team to present this concept to our community so our community can see what could actually come or what can become of the White Mill in Danville Virginia,” said Alonzo Jones, the Mayor of the City of Danville.
