Fayetteville’s ‘Food Truck Wednesday’ Draws Another Big Crowd

June 7, 2017

Another crowd of several hundred people went to Fayetteville’s Festival Park on Wednesday for the Food Truck lunch event. Mayor Nat Robertson got a meal from The Blind Pig N.C. barbecue truck, which is operated by Wade Fowler, a former city councilman and now on the Public Works Commission. The truck had a steady line of hungry customers. Three other food trucks were set up, plus a hot dog cart and a dessert cart. Food Truck Wednesday, as the city bills it, started last week with an estimated crowd of 700 people. It will run every Wednesday through October. The event was the brainchild of Robertson.
