City Manager Warren Wood previewed an economic development plan and accompanying re-organization of the city manager’s office at the city council meeting Tuesday. The plan has three main objectives: creating jobs, growing the tax base and increasing population. To achieve these goals, a new office known as the Office of Business Development and Planning will be created in the city manager’s office. Wood said the new office would have between 14 and 16 employees and will require the creation of three or four new positions.
