“It actually is a good diverse economy down here, I don’t think a lot of people realize that,” he told the News-Times as he and his team grabbed a sweet treat at HappyCakes Cupcakery. “When you get out to the coast, there’s still a lot of other things going on other than vacations and fishing, you know? So there’s plenty to do, there’s plenty to see,” he noted. Mr. Forest said he was pleased with news of small business growth here. “These are the kind of businesses that are fun. You see these little start-up businesses where people are doing well and they’re expanding,” he said.
