Two congressmen will be in town today for a meeting with Mayor Jim Gobbel and a tour of the N.C. Transportation Museum. Reps. Ted Budd, R-13, and Richard Hudson, R-8, are scheduled to tour the Transportation Museum at 11:30 a.m. and meet with Gobbel afterward to discuss economic development. Each congressmen represents part of Spencer in the U.S. House of Representatives. “Infrastructure policy is more than steel, concrete and government spending. It’s how we connect people and communities together,” Budd said in a news release.
