SouthCorr Packaging will expand its Asheboro facility with a $6.7 million investment and the addition of 22 jobs. The company had been working with the Randolph County Economic Development Corp. on incentives for the expansion. In March, the City of Asheboro and Randolph County approved a total of $190,000, or $95,000 each, for the project. A performance-based grant of $50,000 from the One North Carolina Fund will assist with the expansion, Gov. Roy Cooper announced Friday. Companies receive no money upfront and must meet job creation and capital investment targets to qualify for payment.
