December 15, 2017

Linamar Seissenschmidt Forgings Group, headquartered in Plettenburg, Germany, purchased Carolina Forge in 2014 along with the Wilson facility with an estimated 100 Wilson employees. Wilson Economic Development Council Executive Director Jennifer Lantz said by 2019, Linamar will have 299 employees. Salary for the new jobs will vary, but will average $49,764 annually — about $9,000 more than the average salary in the county. “Linamar Forgings Carolina joins a host of other manufacturers calling Wilson County home due to our talent, business climate and quality of life,” said Sen. Angela Bryant, D-Nash, in a statement. “I am proud to welcome LFC’s expansion in our community.”
